Watch me grow - 11 weeks

Sorry for not posting much recently. I just haven't been too into the blog lately. I took some shots of our little one yesterday on Cinco de Mayo.Mimi brought up her sombrero for an additional prop and then she and Cedar spoke some spanish. :)Yesterday was also Willow's 8th birthday. I can't believe she's 8 already. It seems like she was just this old.. She was such a cute puppy and is such a great dog. In honor of her birthday, I put together a little Willow collage...

Watch me grow on Earth day - week 9

Someone is excited about Earth day. :) Or maybe she's excited about wearing jeans for the first time. Sorry about not getting an 8 week photo up. Cedar made a trip to the pediatrician yesterday and she now weighs 8lbs, 6 ozs. So she's almost double her weight when she came home. I was just feeding Cedar and looked out the window and saw 2 pileated woodpeckers flirting and pecking on one of our trees. They are huge birds and such a treat to see flying in our woods. I grabbed the camera and caught one of them. Gotta run to work this afternoon. MomMom is coming to watch Cedar when I'm gone so that will be fun. I'll try to get more photos up soon. Happy Earth day!

Watch me grow - 7 weeks

Here's Cedar at 7 weeks. Wow, the time has gone quick. I've gone back to work part-time so I guess my time on the computer has been spent otherwise. Luckily I'm able to work from home all but one day a week. Cedar spends the one day I'm at the office with her Aunt Kelly, River and Mason. We're sooo thankful for Kelly. We know that Cedar is in the best of hands.Cedar is smiling more and more now. She loves to be sung to and that says alot because I have an awful voice, but she looks at me like I'm the best singer in the world. She loves her tummy and floor time surrounded by her toys and books. We've been enjoying the nice weather by spending time outside in the hammock and working in the garden. Todd borrowed the Willowcroft tractor last weekend and tilled the garden while Cedar and I watched from the picnic table. Soon we'll be planting seeds and growing some yummy veggies for Cedar to eat. Bring on the peas and carrots! We're looking forward to giving the garden some more attention this year and getting our hands in the dirt. Here she is sleeping in her slingI'll leave you with a video that I took yesterday and Cedar and I having a little fun with photo booth on our Mac. :)I think she wants to eat the camera in this video. :)

Here's our little baldy in her big girl pants…It's a good thing they are reinforced with extra padding in the knees for all that crawling she's doing! :)

Watch me grow - 1 month!

Cedar's little personality is emerging more and more. What a difference a month makes! She is starting to get a little feisty for our photo shoots, so I've got to be quick. It's pretty cute. Here's a group of outtakes:and this, "what the heck are you looking at" expression:Maybe next week I'll shoot a video to capture some of her sounds. She had her one month check-up last Thursday and weighed in at 6lbs, 4 ozs. So she's doing great. I can't wait for her to put on a few more pounds so she can fit into more clothes!

Watch me grow - week 3

Hello! Wow, I can't believe it's been 3 weeks already. Cedar is doing great. She's such a happy little girl and rarely fusses. She is so alert and makes the funniest little sounds. I'm still adjusting to the nightly feedings. Some days I feel like a slug while other days I feel back to my old self.

Todd went back to work last week so that was a bit of adjustment. This week was much better for me and it's helped having visitors and meals dropped off. Kelly's bible study group has generously made meals for us and we don't even know them! They are so awesome. Gosh, we feel so spoiled. Trish (aka mom-mom) came over earlier this week and she brought a box of Todd's baby photos and his baby book. I love old photos and it was such fun looking through them. Todd was such a cutie and the newborn photo of him is sooo much like Cedar. She definitely takes after her daddy, all the way down to her long toes! Here's Todd's newborn photo followed by a shot of Cedar. You can certainly see the resemblance. And just for fun, here are Todd and I around 3 months old:We are both bicentennial babies, born in the Summer, about 2 weeks apart. And here we are at 4 years old:Now back to some more photos of Cedar. I am attempting different poses to mix things up a bit. Does she look any bigger? And finally here she is with her big sis. Willow is such a good sport about having a baby in the house, it doesn't even phase her. She is so gentle and patient.Hope everyone has a nice weekend. We're certainly looking forward to getting outside in the 70 degree weather! I can't wait for Spring...
