Nags head '09
Couple months after Athens we headed back south, but only as far as Nags head. This time we tried the drive during the day and will probably stick to the night driving for awhile. Much easier, faster, less stressful when driving with a sleeping baby, instead of a fussy, spitting up, car seat hating baby. This drive was only 1/2 the Athens drive and felt 4X as long. All and all the vacation was very nice, the weather was perfect, waves were good (so good they closed swimming a few days) and we can't wait to head back down.
This year, with all the kiddy's, we split cottages. Young folks with babies in one, old folks with non-crying young adults in the other. This was our attempt at getting a cute photo of all the kids in white shirts - not very successful.
Cedar loved the beach & chillin with River & Mason all week. Erin managed to kick ass in putt-putt and I got to visit my beloved Tortuga's.
Here's the little princess chillin on the beach with mommy. She was a trooper all week, mostly ate well, slept good, and handled all the time at the beach swimmingly.
Someone likes to get up close and personal with her hellos.
The water was cold and she didn't know what to make of it at first, but started to get into it a bit.
Mason's mohawk was rockin - the ladies couldn't keep their hands off'em
Here's Mason taking in the scenery
At least someone got some rest & relaxation at the beach this year
