More fun with the pink stuff

The pink panther strikes again. We spent the 4th hanging (and inhaling) more insulation. Ugh. We had a few visitors stop by. Todd’s Uncle Larry from Arizona was in town visiting and got to see our house for the first time. Larry, it was great to see you and we love your Chuck Taylors! And here is gimpy Willy…We hope you get plenty of rest at the beach. And just for those who are wondering, this was not a job site related accident!

Pink stuff

It’s been a little while since our last post. We’ve since finished installing the floor boards in the main room and started hanging fiberglass insulation. We got a great estimate from a guy down the road for spray foam insulation but decided to go the ole’ fashion route. We’re old school and think houses should breathe. So the pink panther paid us a visit and we’re sure inspector Cluso won’t be far behind. On another note, we bid farewell to our Toyota and bought a new truckasaurus. It’s a beast but we need something to pull a Woodmizer. Yep, we’ve decided to buy the mill with Logan and to cut up oak for our siding…and yes, we’re crazy. Our plan is to convert the diesel truck over to run on vegetable oil in the near future, along with the diesel Woodmizer. We should take delivery of the sawmill in a couple weeks. Pics of the mill and the truckasaurus coming soon!
