Phone pics

Just thought I'd share some shots that I pulled off my phone. Last weekend Cedar got a big bag of hand-me-down clothes from my aunt which included this new aqua corduroy dress. She loved wearing her tights yesterday and running around the house in her crocs, occasionally stopping by her table to scribble. She is so damn cute, if I don't say so myself! ;) Fiona showed up at lunch for a short visit. She loves all of her cousins so much. Here she is riding her new trike, side saddle of course...Last week we went to playgrounds and ran around in the warm weather. We are missing it this week. Can't wait for spring!

Swinging good time

Landon came over this week to bring Cedar her birthday present. A hammock! Well, not really. Her gave her a big stuffed animal named Moonie. They had a blast in the hammock together. I love seeing Cedar so happy! She certainly has her fair share of tantrums but those aren't as cute to photograph. :) Kiss Kiss! After lunch they played with Woody and Jessie and then watched a little Toy Story. Have a great weekend!

Our little monkey is 2!!

Last weekend Cedar had her birthday party with her cousins, aunts, uncles and grandparents. She likes the movie Nemo so we went with a fish theme party complete with a clown fish cake and a Nemo pinata. She had alot of fun and as always, I'll let the photos do the talking…Todd and I had fun decorating the night before. We went up to Willowcroft to use Lew's helium tank and filled a bunch of balloons. We tied groups to each chairs and were so pleased with ourselves. Well, then we woke up the next morning and all of the balloons were on the floor. :( So much for that idea. We made a wave out of blue streamers so the Nemo pinata would feel at home. I made the cake and it was my first piping experience. I was pleased with the end result and had fun making it. When I showed it to Cedar for the first time the day before she got a big grin on her face and said, "open it?" So I let her have a little finger lick. The body of the fish was chocolate and the tails/fins were yellow cake.mmmm.....cakeAfter cake and icecream it was time to break open the pinata. Nowadays they make a pull-string pinata but we decided on the old school one that involves a bat. In our case, it was a rolling pin. Sugar!!!Cedar received some fun gifts. Fiona painted this wrapping paper…isn't it great? It's Cedar and Fiona!Mom-mom gave her Woody and Jessie dolls. She loved them! Thanks Mom-Mom!Uncle Shawn, Aunt Jen and Fiona gave Cedar a giant red ball that was quite a hit! You climb into it and roll around.Hurry, Pop-Pop blow it up! It honestly would have taken about a week to blow the ball up so we decided it was a job for the air compressor.Ta-da - it's huge! Thanks Uncle Shawn. We look forward to the weather getting warmer and the ground drying up so we can roll around outside. On her actually birthday we gave Cedar her first big wheel ride. She helped her dadda put it together.
Clearly, not amused by the camera....Happy Birthday Cedar. We love you so much!
