Poohvie

We took Cedar to see her first movie in the theater last night. Recently we saw a trailer for the new Winnie the Pooh movie and thought it would be perfect. Cedar really isn't too familiar with Pooh and his posse but we thought the movie would have a nice slow pace without flashy graphics. And who doesn't love Pooh and his addiction to honey?! The movie was to start at 5:00, which was perfect timing after Cedar's nap and just before dinner. So we hyped up the movie all day and how special the experience would be only to find out that it was sold out when we arrived to buy tickets. So that threw us off a little bit, but we decided that we'd stick around for two hours and wait for the next show. It was miserably hot out so we ducked into the nearest restaurant for an early dinner and to kill time. It didn't go so well though. It was noisy and Cedar was off her game and didn't want to sit still and eat. She ate a couple french fries but was happier flinging red onions around and playing on the etch-a-sketch. Say "Pooh!"Eli chilled on the booth seat but eventually we all reached our limit and it was time to make a quick exit. We even brought beloved Snow White (who looks more like Wonder Woman) to help but she was too busy drinking beer. We showed up to the theater with about 45 minutes to spare and that was after buying popcorn and waiting for the theater to be cleaned. We certainly had our pick of seats!Cedar was just about out of steam by the time the movie started but she perked up after all the annoying previews. We brought her blanket to make her cozy and every now and then she would reach over and grab our hands to give us some love. She is so sweet. Eli did great in the theater. I had him in the Ergo carrier on my chest with a blanket covering his ears to buffer the sound. Overall it was a fun experience and the movie was great. Fun for all ages. We'll just have to buy tickets ahead of time for the next one!
