Catching up

Hello everyone who still checks in on this little blog! I am now 39 weeks pregnant and I can't believe it. My due date is this Saturday! I'm so happy and thankful to have made it this far without any problems. This was a completely different pregnancy with no scary high blood pressure readings, bedrest or anxiety. We are all patiently waiting on our little mans arrival. I'm hoping my body will go on it's on before the doctors mention inducing but there are no signs yet, just minor cramping. There is a full moon tonight so you never know! I went searching and only found one belly photo with Cedar and it's from a couple months ago. She clearly looks thrilled!Oh the range of emotions in a toddler! I need to do better with the belly shots and get one of her kissing my belly. She is so sweet with kisses for her little brother. I'm tired and feeling the weight of this pregnancy but I'm enjoying the last week(s?) with my little girl. I get a bit emotional thinking about dividing my time between her and the new baby but I am also very excited about what's to come. Cedar is going to make an awesome big sister. We've been busy over the past months. We welcomed the spring and Cedar loved picking the daffodils around our house, shouting "flower!" when she spotted a new cluster in the woods. It's so fun to see her excitement in the little details. We were pretty diligent about feeding the neighbors horses just across the road. Cedar had no fear of them and would walk right up to the fence. She has also told Todd that she wants a pony. :)She loves to draw and paint and we've found some fun surfaces to be creative with.
We recently took a trip to the Natural History Museum in DC and explored the butterfly house and the dinosaur exhibit. We've enjoyed playdates with Landon and birthday parties with cousins. Here are Cedar and Landon dressing up in past Halloween costumes. They were so sweet on the stairs as I captured this hug. In March we welcomed another member to the family. Logan and Kelly just had their 3rd and it was a little girl. Yeah!! Her name is Regan and she is such sweetie and apparently a really good baby. Just look at those cheeks! It will be fun to have cousins so close together again. We've been getting the garden ready with my dad and potting flowers. Cedar loves to pick the asparagus and eat it raw. Go figure, she won't eat it steamed! It's sundress weather and Cedar loves to pick one out herself to wear. She will twirl around and say, "I'm a princess" or "I'm a big girl!" If we see someone at the store in a dress, than it's a princess. :) She just figured out how to use the garden hose. And she's pretty excited about it! :) She loves lettuce and picked out this swiss chard to plant. It must have been the pretty colors that were so inticing. I don't think it's going to last long because someone likes to nibble and it's not the deer! Bubbles are currently a big hit at our house. Who doesn't love bubbles! Many afternoons we wait outside for dadda to come home from work...."shhh" I think he's coming. :)
