Working on the chain gang....

It was back to installing oak boards last weekend in the upstairs loft. Todd rented the floor nailer on Friday afternoon and we got started early on Saturday morning. We began in the bathroom and eventually met up with boards we had previously laid in the guest bedroom. Here's the finished bathroom, minus the section in front of the tub. We framed around that area and plan to install a cork tile bath mat.We made good progress and the low humidity was certainly a bonus. The boards fit together much better this time. We had a pretty good rhythm going; Todd nailed, while I measured and cut the boards.Cleaning up Saturday night…We've got plenty of leftover pieces for kindling…Getting close to the finish line… We surprised ourselves and finished everything up on Sunday afternoon. Now we can have Athey Floors finish everything all at once. We touched base with them yesterday and they are planning on coming out sometime next week to sand and seal. We can't wait to see the grain pop once the varnish is applied!

Now, time to throw in another random Willow photo…She got a new (we've neglected our dog and spend too much time on this damn house) bullfrog toy today.
